Night Stocker is a literary vampire horror WIP that explores career burnout and the struggles of young people in corporate America. Steven, an industrious but idealistic newly-grad, dreams of purposeful work in ornithology. When he's instead stocking shelves at a convenience store, he's disappointed to say the least, but still goes above and beyond to impress the manager in hopes for a positive job reference. If juggling his work responsibilities, home life, and the dwindling job market weren't enough for him to handle, then fending off the blood-sucking monster behind the dumpster is the straw that breaks the stock boy's back. If Steven doesn't find a way out soon, he risks losing himself to the job or the creature, and he isn't sure which would be worse.
